Blumont is a nonprofit humanitarian relief and development organization with nearly 20 years of experience in 40 countries. We move beyond the standard model, refocusing and building an organization designed to respond dynamically to emerging global issues one project at a time. We are proud to say that 90% of our staff is hired locally, and collectively we speak more than 35 languages. Through these efforts, we hope to challenge the very essence of the larger relief and development paradigm.
Blumont builds on years of proven experience as International Relief & Development (IRD) to forge an enhanced development capability that is more locally focused, highly trained, and empowered with advanced technology, tools and information resources to implement the most effective programs. We bridge the ideas of donors to the desires of communities and design optimal, sustainable solutions. We are unwavering in our commitment to business integrity and technical excellence, and maintain the trust of donors who support both us and the program participants we empower. Blumont is advancing development when and where it matters most.
We deliver innovative, evidence based, locally driven solutions that advance the aspirations of people, communities and donor partners worldwide. Our goal is to collaborate, innovate and transform. Related to this goal are three key messages:
• COLLABORATION. We listen first and engage with local communities to understand their needs and tailor specific programmatic support.
• INNOVATION. We apply technical capabilities flexibly and creatively to meet unique challenges.
• TRANSFORMATION. We rigorously measure and analyze the results of our work, apply lessons learned and continuously improve our approaches to sustainably transform lives and communities.
Within our set of capabilities we can create, initiate, operate and terminate programs with more competence and efficiency than our competitors. We achieve this differentiation through innovation, efficient cost controls and accountable program management. Our expectation is that our integrated teams at headquarters and in the field will work together to achieve their program objectives on schedule and within scope.
Sectors and Services (most can remain as-is):
Acquisitions & Logistics: By partnering with our extensive network of manufacturers, and charities, we gain access to supplies that enable us to provide in-kind assistance to communities in need worldwide.
How We Work:
Our work is strategic, results-oriented and locally driven, and we find that often the biggest challenges offer the best opportunities for success. Over 90 percent of our staff is locally hired, while our Madison, WI headquarters and Washington DC regional office provide guidance, program development experience, technical support, financial oversight, and communications assistance to our local teams.
Blumont is supported by many donors, including USAID, the departments of State and Defense, the United Nations, DfID and the World Bank. We receive additional support from foundations, faith-based and other nongovernmental organizations.
Under Contacts, Daniel DuPont, Vice President Communications & Partnerships should be the primary contact. That number is 01-703-248-0161 firstname.lastname@example.org. The remaining names should be removed until we decide who will replace those individuals.
Under Company Offices, the United States headquarters is now in Madison, WI. That address is One North Pinckney St. Suite 50, Madison, WI 53703. We still have a large regional office at 1721 N. Kent Street Suite 40, Arlington, VA.
