Canadian Harambee Education Society Scholarships: The Canadian Harambee Education Society (CHES) mission is to improve the quality of life of women and their communities in Kenya and Tanzania by providing secondary education scholarships for girls.
CHES helps girls get an education by;
- Providing scholarships to Kenyan and Tanzanian girls who qualify for Secondary School placements, but who need financial assistance in order to attend
- Striving to maximize students’ success in school and in their communities by supporting their learning and their transition into adult community life
- Promoting the global commitment of supporters through sponsorship of individual students and projects
- Building relationships and promote understanding between supporters and sponsors on the one hand and students and their communities on the other
- Supporting special projects, such as the construction of libraries, dormitories, and computer buildings
- Sending volunteers from the ranks of retired teachers and other professionals to act as agents
- Raising and administering donated funds
