This position is open to candidates who wish to come live in/supervise a shelter of LGBT+ refugees in either Greece or Turkey.
Intern responsibilities include daily case work needs such as hospital visits, coordinating with other NGO’s, upholding the rules, day to day management of the shelter, organizing activities/workshops, crisis management, social media, and administration. Interns report directly to the project manager. Interns will have daily team meetings and access to psychosocial support/coaching if needed.

Istanbul: Aman LGBT Shelter
Candidates should have a background working with LGBT+ and refugee issues as well as a command of English with either Arabic, Turkish, French, Kurdish or Farsi as a plus. Interns are expected to understand grassroots style work and be very self-motivated. Internship length is 3-6 months with housing provided.
