Leonard Cheshire (LC) is currently recruiting for a Finance and Grants Officer.
LC is one of the largest global disability organisations supporting people in the UK and internationally with programmes in education, access to employment and youth leadership. The head office is in London and globally activities are overseen by regional offices in Kenya, Zambia, India and Thailand, and delivered by partners that are part of a deeply rooted network of over 200 organisations that work across 54 countries.
This exciting opportunity will support the Finance and Grants Manager in running the day to day finance function of LC’s expanding International Directorate, ensuring robust financial controls and efficient processes are in place to support the delivery of an ambitious strategy.
This role will work with colleagues in the UK and across regional offices in Africa and Asia providing financial guidance and ensuring delivery and monitoring of large and complex budgets. You will be responsible for supporting the processing of all payments and transfers in an accurate and timely manner and ensuring financial information is recorded, funds allocated and reconciled strictly in accordance with donor requirements.
This position might be suitable for a recent graduate starting their career, or for a professional looking to move into the charity sector. You will be a part qualified Accountant with strong technical accounting skills and financial analysis. You will bring a proactive approach and be able to work with colleagues across different geographies and levels of the organisation.
