Humanitarian Financial Management Training Course
Financial management is a very important function in humanitarian actions. It helps in effective and efficient management of the available financial resources so that the humanitarian or development objectives of an organization can be realized in a timely manner.
The course gives humanitarian staff skills needed to set up strong finance systems and procedures, ensure effective cash management and internal controls, create project budgets, keep accounts, and prepare financial reports. It also looks at the long term strategic financial goals of an organization to enable effective planning and forecasting.
The training targets finance and project officers and managers who want to expand their skills in strategic and effective financial planning, control and reporting in development and humanitarian organizations.
Day 1. Introduction to Financial Management, financial strategy and the role of the financial manager
Day 2. Financial Decision Making ,Planning and Budgeting
Day 3. Cash flow Management, Accounting Records and Documentation
Day 4. Financial Monitoring and Evaluation
Day 5. Financial Decision Making and Internal Control Systems
The course is designed for finance and non finance project managers and other NGO staff involved in humanitarian programme planning, implementation and support.
Course fees Course fee: Amount €1650
