WHAT DO WE DO…

After interventions in 2006, then from 2012 to 2015, following heavy flooding and the influx of Malian refugees, SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL is opening again in 2020, faced with the deterioration of the security situation and is committed to new actions to improve water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services in several departments.

Niamey is the coordination base with an operational base in Abala, for interventions in the municipalities of Abala and Sanam.

The SI Niger mission currently comprises 23 people, including 3 expatriates based in Niamey.

The budget for the ECHO and CDCS projects ending in February 2022 is 780,000EUR.

The development prospects of the mission in 2022 are very optimistic with the approach of several donors. In particular the CDCS – ECHO – BHA – SDC – UNICE. The budget of the mission would thus be around 2 million. The coordination will consist of a DP, a Program Coordinator, a Support Coordinator and an RCO.

THE POST

General objective of the position:

Logistics component: Management of the mission’s logistics activities to ensure the smooth running of the programs; Implementation of logistics procedures and tools

• Operational logistics
• Life logistics
• Referent for all questions related to logistics
• Purchasing procedures
• Implementation of the Procurement Table, the Procurement Plan and the log pack

Administrative component: Coordination of the administrative, accounting and financial services of the mission

• Guarantee the financial balance of the mission,
• Payment, accounting, budget management
• relationship with banks,
• Financial coverage of the mission, financial risk, cash demand

HR component: Participation in the definition of the Human Resources policy

• Work in progress: New mission + recurring changes + mission set to grow
• Recruitments
• Payroll management, contract management, social management + archiving
• Representation before the national administrative authorities, set up the new taxation rules in force in the country,
• Parts control/internal compliance, external audit,

Participation in the definition of the mission strategy, the drafting of projects and the sizing of the means necessary for the activities

YOUR PROFILE

Specific skills/experience required:

• Experience in support manager positions with large financial / HR / logistics volumes that allow an easy transition to a first coordination mission or experience in a Coordination position
• Experience working in a conflict zone is a plus
• Mission or base opening experience is a plus
• Team management and motivation skills
• Ability to work in a team, experience in “remote” management is a plus
• Strong ability to adapt, analyze, organize and manage priorities
• Initiative, rigor and autonomy
• Computer knowledge

IF YOU WILL OFFER THE FOLLOWING TERMS

Salaried position: Depending on experience, from 2640 euros gross per month, (including 10% paid vacation bonus paid monthly) + monthly Per Diem.

SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL also covers accommodation costs as well as travel costs between the country of origin of the expatriate and the place of mission.

Social cover: The expatriate benefits from quality social cover to cover all health costs and accident insurance including war risks.

Break: During the mission, alternation between work and rest is ensured by breaks planned every three months with an allowance of 850 USD. To these break times must be added the granting of an additional day of rest per month worked.

LIVING CONDITIONS: Expatriates in the capital are housed in a Guest House equipped with all amenities. Electricity provided by the electricity company and a backup generator in the event of a power cut. Internet and cable access at GH.
