Peer-Exchange on Information Collection, Sharing and Analysis
**
Thursday, 20 September, 2018**
9:00 – 11:00 am (Washington DC, New York)
2:00 – 4:00 pm (London); 3:00 – 5:00 pm (Geneva); 4:00 – 6:00 pm (Amman);
4:00 – 6:00 pm (Nairobi); 8:00 – 10:00 pm (Bangkok)
via Go-To-Webinar
The purpose of this peer-exchange is to reflect on progress made and challenges encountered in implementing the provisions of the IASC Protection Policy related to data and information collection, sharing and management and in-depth and integrated protection analysis. The peer-exchange will additionally identify areas for improvement and brainstorm around possible recommendations in this regard.
Information gathering and analysis form the basis for a good quality humanitarian response, and we hope this webinar will help shed some light on where we are as a collective, challenges we regularly encounter, and possible solutions that will help future humanitarian efforts. In addition to being a useful exercise for all of us participants, the main takeaways from our conversation will be presented at a Stocktake event on the Inter-Agency Standing Committee Policy on Protection in Humanitarian Action, organized by the Global Protection Cluster through its Task Team on the Centrality of Protection, which will take place in October 2018.
