The Program Support Intern will report to Deputy Head of Office (DHoO) whilst providing support to various project and functions and s/he will work closely with the specialists/coordinators in the program department. The Program Support Intern will play a coordination role with the program team in covering gaps, track actions, and in the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and play a more versatile role as per instructions by the DHoO.
In order to be successful you will bring/have:
- BSc/BA/BEng in Social Sciences, Political Sciences, International Relations, Economy or related field
- Familiarity/training/experience in administration of non-profit work
- Computer literate (including working knowledge of Microsoft Office) and ability to do internet-based research
- Fluent in English (speaking, understanding, reading, and writing)
- Strong organizational skills and discretion with confidential information
- Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Proven ability to handle challenging work load
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Preferably previous working experience (including paid internships) in NGOs, private sector
- Arabic/Turkish proficiency is highly desirable.
- Preferably previous experience working in humanitarian programmes in education and protection sectors.
- Preferably experience in working with children and adolescents, and particularly refugees.

Position holder will be based in Antakya/Hatay, therefore legal right to work in Turkey is necessary at the time of applicaton.
