2020 has been a difficult year for everyone, but it has been extremely challenging for refugees and displaced families. Far from their homes, often in challenging and uncertain circumstances, they are more vulnerable than ever.
In Africa, there are 33.4 million people who have been forced to flee their homes because of conflict, violence, persecution or natural disaster. Women, children and families have made the difficult decision to flee, because if they stayed, their lives or dignity would be in danger. Many of them arrive in refugee camps with little more than the clothes on their back.
UNHCR is working around the clock to help refugee families. We are removing barriers to their wellbeing, but we can’t do this alone.
Together we can invest in the future of our forcibly displaced brothers and sisters and help them reach their full potential.
Please make that investment today.
