Know our team
The Communications Unit is Nutrition International’s centre for global communications excellence. It is responsible for the delivery and implementation of the strategic vision for corporate communications and branding across the organization. The Unit also champions quality and opportunity globally, working closely with regional teams. Communications Unit members can be found in Nutrition International’s Headquarters in Ottawa, Canada, as well as within our Regional offices in Africa and Asia.
You have a degree in Journalism, Communications or in a related field. You have at least 4 years of experience in a writing, communications, marketing or a related job. You are someone who possesses the ability to identify and pursue story opportunities from technical content and can convert technical reports into engaging stories. You are well organized, flexible and enjoy the challenges and rewards of working in a diverse office environment.
About the role
In this role you will:
- Lead on identifying story ideas and opportunities that will contribute to raising Nutrition International’s profile and to meeting its corporate goals and advise on strategic use of these stories for maximum impact.
- Lead on the drafting of a multitude of compelling stories about Nutrition International’s work and impact to be shared on the corporate website, on social media, in partner publications or through other means.
- Support content production, review and copy editing of other substantive written material to meet organizational needs, including blogs, op-eds, speeches and video scripts.
