The COVID-19 pandemic broke out towards the end of 2019 and rapidly spread across the world, negatively affecting human health and economies globally.
To ensure continued safe trade, TradeMark East Africa (TMEA) received funding from different Development Partners to implement the Safe Trade Emergency Facility (STEF) to ensure that, despite the pandemic, trade in essential goods continues with minimal interruption. TMEA defined essential goods as priority food value chains, medicaments, personal protective equipment (PPE) such as masks, and hygiene products such as sanitizers and soaps. The STEF support is geared towards both the Public and Private Sectors in TMEA’s countries of operation.
To this end, TMEA is seeking the services of a competent and credible firm to supply and deliver the identified equipment and consumable below:
Lot 1 – Laboratory Consumables
Lot 2 – Rapid Equipment for Testing Sanitizers
Scope of work, timelines, and deliverables for this assignment
The scope of this assignment is to:
- • Supply the identified equipment and reagents to the UNBS location in Kampala, or as otherwise directed.
- • Train UNBS staff on the use of the equipment and/or reagents, if need be
Duration of the Assignment
All bidders will be required to submit a detailed project implementation plan with achievable delivery timelines for the equipment and reagents identified in the above section. All deliveries are expected within two months from the date of signing the contact with the winning bidder.
