A NUTRITION COORDINATOR – MYANMAR

RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the supervision of the Deputy Country Director, you will be in charge for defining the strategies and coordinating activities of Action Contre la Faim of an integrated approach to Nutrition and Health.
More specifically, your responsibilities will be to:
– Provide technical support through regular monitoring and evaluating the implementation of Nutrition and Health programs, projects and activities at the mission level
– Define the Nutrition and Health country strategy and positioning, coordinate needs identification and the formulation of project proposals
– Promote capitalization through analysis and collection of qualitative and quantitative data ;
– Ensure the active participation of ACF in national sectorial coordination and technical forums, and develop sectorial partnerships

REQUESTED PROFILE

You have a medical or paramedical background with preferably a Master’s degree in Nutrition, Public Health or Social sciences, and 5 years of minimum professional experience with NGOs including 2 years prior experience in a similar or comparable position, in both emergency and development contexts. Former experience as nutrition and health program manager will be highly valued and regarded as a significant asset in this role.
You have a confirmed technical expertise in Community-based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM), Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal, New Born and Child Health (SRMNCH), and pharmacy management.
An experience in Health System Strengthening, Adolescent Health, Nutrition Surveillance, and the implementation of integrated approaches (MHCP/Nut- WASH/Nut, FSL/Nut) would be an asset.
You also have strong abilities to design strategies and provide technical support in project proposal development.
Excellent diplomacy, negotiation representation, and advocacy skills are required.
Your English is fluent (spoken and written), and the knowledge of the Burmese language is an asset.

SPECIFIC CONDITIONS / SALARY

Start Date: as soon as possible
For National Candidates:
– 12 months fixed term contract under Birmanese legislation
– Basic Salary Range / month: 3186000 MMK to 3687859 MMK, plus other attractive benefit packages (13 months bonus, medical benefit, holidays and leaves and training for career growth)
For International Candidates:
– 12 months fixed term contract under French legislation – Position based currently in Thailand because of visa issues
– Monthly gross salary from 2597 to 2968EUR upon experience
– Monthly per diem and living allowance: 661 USD net, field paid
– Child allowance: 1500EUR per year per child present in the country of origin (maximum 6000EUR/year)
– 16% of the gross monthly salary for pension insurance reimbursement for non-French citizens
– Transportation and accommodation: Coverage of transportation costs and guest house
– Medical coverage: 100% coverage of health contributions (social security + health insurance) and repatriation insurance
– Leaves and RnR: 25 days of paid leaves per year, 20 RnR per year and 215 EUR at each RnR period
