TITLE: Advocacy and Campaign Coordinator
CONTRACT TYPE: National

ROLE PURPOSE:
The Advocacy and Campaigns Coordinator will support the design and implementation of Save the Children Thailand’s advocacy and campaigns strategy. The role entails developing evidence-based advocacy plans, coordinating child- and youth-led campaign activities, and engaging with external stakeholders to influence policy and raise awareness on key child rights issues. The Coordinator ensures consistent messaging across programs, aligns national efforts with global campaigns, and promotes child participation in influencing public and policy agendas.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
SCOPE OF ROLE:

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Advocacy Strategy and Implementation
- Lead the development and execution of advocacy strategies focusing on critical issues such as education for migrants and refugees, climate change, child protection, LGBTQI+ rights, and child rights governance.
- Collaborate with the MEAL team and program staff to generate and utilize evidence to inform advocacy initiatives.
- Conduct policy analysis and engage with government agencies, civil society, UN bodies, and donors to promote child rights.
- Facilitate advocacy risk assessments and support project teams in budget planning related to advocacy and campaigns.
- Campaign Management
- Coordinate national campaigns, including Save the Children’s Generation Hope, ensuring child and youth participation.
- Develop and disseminate campaign content for social media and digital platforms.
- Provide technical support to campaign-related activities across projects.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on campaign outcomes and progress on a biannual basis.
Stakeholder Engagement and Representation
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at local, national, and regional levels.
- Represent Save the Children in external meetings and collaborative platforms to advance campaign and advocacy goals.
- Align advocacy efforts with regional priorities and ensure message consistency across field offices.
Communication and Messaging
- Develop high-quality advocacy materials including key messages, talking points, context updates, and reports.
- Ensure all communications are evidence-based, regularly updated, and in line with SCI sign-off protocols.
- Work closely with the Communications and Media teams to amplify campaign visibility and engagement.
Capacity Building
- Strengthen internal capacity on advocacy and campaign approaches through training and mentorship.
- Supervise and support Communications and Advocacy Assistants and interns in their professional development.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in communications, arts, fine arts, development, social science or any related field.
- At least 5-year experience in advocacy, campaign, communications, media, program implementation which as advocacy and campaign components or related field.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, development, social sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in advocacy, campaigns, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of child rights and socio-political issues in Thailand.
- Proven ability to develop and implement advocacy strategies and lead public campaigns.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in Thai and English.
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including children, government, NGOs, and media.
- Proficient in digital communication and social media engagement.
Desirable
- Previous experience with Save the Children or international NGOs.
- Experience in emergency or humanitarian contexts.
- Strong interpersonal, coordination, and team management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural and fast-paced environment.
