Requirement:
We are currently seeking highly skilledand experienced research institute/organization/center of excellence/university etc. to partner with us for the upcoming GCF-funded evaluation related to Indigenous Peoples.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Provide strategic advice to enhance the integration of Indigenous Peoples’ perspectives in climate change and climate finance programs and projects.
- Utilize solid experience to actively contribute to the successful implementation of climate-related initiatives, ensuring alignment with Indigenous Peoples’ needs and rights.
- Conduct thorough evaluation of programs and projects involving Indigenous Peoples, emphasizing a nuanced understanding of climate change and climate finance.
- Apply mixed methods, combining quantitative and qualitative approaches, to comprehensively evaluate the impact and effectiveness of interventions related to Indigenous Peoples, climate change, and climate finance.
- Showcase evidence of training and proficiency in handling qualitative data and methods, leveraging this expertise to extract meaningful insights and narratives.
- Facilitate inclusive stakeholder engagement, ensuring active participation of Indigenous Peoples in the evaluation process.
- Develop clear and actionable recommendations based on evaluation findings, with an emphasis on improving the effectiveness of programs and projects for Indigenous Peoples.
- Support in preparing comprehensive and accessible reports that effectively communicate evaluation results and insights to a diverse audience, including stakeholders, policymakers, and affected communities.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Solid experience in providing strategic advice, implementing, and conducting evaluations or reviews on program and projects on Indigenous Peoples, preferably within the climate change and climate finance areas.
- Experience and expertise with corporate evaluations in a multilateral setting beyond project evaluation.
- 5 years’ experience in conducting similar services.
- Expertise and experience using mixed methods, particularly with the use of quantitative and qualitative methods.
- Previous working experience with international NGOs, multilateral, and bilateral donors.
- Ability to work across languages and utilize and tap into networks in various parts of the world.
