Campaign Coordinator

The Campaign Coordinator is responsible for driving, coordinating, developing, and supporting Oxfam in Timor-Leste’s key campaigns covering Economic Justice, Climate Justice, and Gender Justice. This includes working with Oxfam staff, allies, and partners to develop and implement campaign strategies and plans, and align, link, feed into, and leverage Oxfam International and regional campaigns. This will include the development of campaign materials, press releases, and events, supporting movement building, and using innovative and exciting ways to engage with different people and groups and influence and change minds and behaviors.

Skills and Experience required.

  • Extensive experience in public campaigning, including through social media.
  • Experience and skills in public policy advocacy and government liaison.
  • Experience in campaign planning and strategy including gender and disability inclusion awareness.
  • Experience networking with and supporting civil society and movements in Timor-Leste.
  • Proven influencing work and ability to negotiate and agree on policy positions amongst different stakeholders.
  • Good insight and contacts with major actors on different issues linked to Oxfam priority influencing areas (CSOs, Networks, NGOs, journalists, Government, Private sector).
  • Proven ability to develop staff and partners’ advocacy, communications, and campaign capacity.
  • Demonstrable understanding of gender, disability, and diversity issues and proven commitment to and evidence of promoting gender and diversity equity.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of one or more of economic development and diversification, state budget, agriculture, and gender and disability inclusion will be highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills including facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Graphic design skills are an advantage.
  • Good coordination skills and an ability to work across cross-cultural teams on shared priorities.
  • High written and spoken competency in English and fluent Tetum

Salary

  • Position base in Dili, Type of contract is a Fixed term, Local hire.
  • The maximum salary package of this position is up to US$ 1,340.34 gross per month (including the 10% wage tax deduction, pro-rate of the 13th-month bonus & 10% Social Security contribution from Oxfam, and medical allowance pro-rate). Oxfam reserves the right to offer the salary as per the experience and skills of the applicant.
