Tetra Tech International Development (http://www.tetratech.com/intdev) is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for a potential Chief of Party position on an anticipated five-year USAID-funded Integrated Good Governance Activity (GIGGA) in Guinea. The purpose of the Activity is to provide technical support to local government to improve decentralization service delivery in health, education, and economic growth. This position will be based in Guinea.
Responsibilities:
The Chief of Party will be responsible for providing technical leadership and administrative oversight to the Activity, managing interventions and staff to ensure that the project proceeds effectively and meets its targets. The COP will have overall responsibility for the contract ensuring quality control, the appropriateness and overall responsiveness of all activities performed under the contract. This position will be based in Guinea.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in political sciences, law, sociology, public administration, management, economics, geography; advanced degree highly preferred.
* At least 15 years’ professional experience (bachelor’s level) or 10 years’ professional experience (advanced degree level) in local governance, decentralization, community involvement or public administration.
* At least 5 years of USAID project management experience preferred.
* Proven leadership, organizational and writing skills required.
* Fluency in French is required.
* Proficiency in English is required.
