« Ces personnes sont à nouveau déplacées de force, passant de tentes de fortune à une zone sans abri, sans nourriture, sans eau et sans soins médicaux » explique Aurélie Godard.
L’offensive et l’ordre d’évacuation réduisent encore l’accès aux soins de santé, privant davantage la population de soins médicaux de base.
En début de semaine, le personnel médical et les patients ont dû être évacués de l’hôpital Al-Najjar, tandis que l’hôpital européen de Gaza (EGH) n’est plus accessible. De son côté MSF poursuit ses activités à l’hôpital indonésien de Rafah mais a laissé sortir les patients pouvant être soignés en ambulatoire. Les activités de MSF à la clinique Al-Shaboura ont, elles, été suspendues jusqu’à nouvel ordre.
« Suspendre les activités d’un poste de santé où nos équipes ont effectué 8 269 consultations pour le seul mois d’avril est catastrophique », déclare Paulo Milanesio, coordinateur d’urgence de MSF à Rafah. « Comment les femmes enceintes, les enfants, les personnes souffrant de maladies chroniques vont-ils se faire soigner et poursuivre leur traitement dans un endroit décimé comme Gaza ? » ajoute-t-il.
