Here’s where you come in:
As Manager, Special Projects, you will lead and coordinate special initiatives by planning, designing, implementing, and reviewing assigned projects to ensure they are delivered within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards. You will engage and manage diverse stakeholders to ensure effective project design and successful implementation of improvement initiatives.
You will also contribute to team planning by providing critical review and challenge to strengthen decision-making, risk management, status reporting, and follow-up.
Requirements include:
- University degree in business, management, finance or accountancy
- 4-5 years managerial experience preferably in a non-profit or development organization or the like
- 4-5 years’ experience with data management, project financial reporting, analysis
- Proven ability to understand and lead improvements in complex processes.
- Proven ability to form and nurture partnerships and work together with stakeholders who may have competing objectives
- Substantial experience managing projects
- Ability to identify and manage politically sensitive issues
- Extensive and advanced knowledge in financial/management accounting and reporting
- Must have excellent communication skills in written and oral English
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
- Qualified accountant – CPA or CA
- Post graduate qualification
- Familiarity with PMBOK, Six Sigma, PRINCE2, Agile or other project management framework experience preferred
- Advanced knowledge and background on PowerBI, dashboards, and other business intelligence applications.
For positions filled in the United States, the typical salary range for this role is $70,000 to $80,430 USD. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, job level, internal equity and budget. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience and geographic location.
