Partnerships coordinator

Job Purpose:

The Partnerships Coordinator will support the organization in identifying, establishing, and maintaining relationships with potential and current partners. The role involves supporting the development of project proposals, concept notes, and partnership strategies in collaboration with relevant departments. Additionally, the Partnerships Coordinator will assist in strengthening partnership initiatives, expanding the organization’s network, and representing the organization in relevant meetings, clusters, and events.

Key Responsibilities:

Partnership Development:

  • Identify potential partners and explore partnership opportunities in alignment with the organization’s strategic goals.
  • Assist in drafting project proposals, concept notes, and partnership agreements in coordination with the programs and MEAL departments.
  • Maintain and update a database of current and potential partners, including international organizations, local NGOs, UN agencies, and donors.
  • Support relationship management with existing partners, ensuring timely communication and response to their inquiries.
  • Assist in organizing and participating in meetings, workshops, and networking events with partners to strengthen collaboration.

Representation:

  • Represent the organization in meetings, clusters, and events related to partnerships, networking, and coordination.
  • Actively participate in discussions to advocate for the organization’s objectives, share updates, and explore collaboration opportunities.
  • Provide feedback and share insights from meetings and events with the internal team to inform strategic decision-making.

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Track partnership activities, monitor progress, and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from partners to enhance collaboration and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of partnerships and suggesting improvements as necessary.

Qualification (Education/Work Experience):

Essential:

  • University degree in social sciences, business administration, international relations, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in partnership development, project coordination, or similar roles within an NGO or private sector.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic (both written and spoken).

Desirable:

  • Experience in developing project proposals or concept notes.
  • Knowledge of the humanitarian sector and understanding of the Syrian context.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working with international donors or organizations.
