MERA Global is a data-driven consultancy headquartered in the UK, with registration in Syria and across the MENA region. We specialize in Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning (MEL), research, data analytics, and capacity building. Our work supports humanitarian and development actors operating in fragile and conflict-affected settings.
We provide evidence generation services that improve accountability, effectiveness, and strategic learning for international partners such as USAID, EU, DRC, Expertise France, and others.
Scope of Work
Short-term experts will support data collection and analysis, including:
- Conducting quantitative surveys with beneficiaries (MSME owners, jobseekers, trainees).
- Moderating FGDs and assisting in KIIs with stakeholders in target provinces.
- Ensuring accurate data entry and adherence to ethical guidelines.
- Collaborating with Arabic/Turkish-speaking communities, with attention to gender sensitivity.
Qualifications
For Turkish-Speaking Experts (Pool 1):
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, statistics, economics, or related fields (preferred).
- Native proficiency in Turkish; basic English for reporting.
- Experience in field surveys, M&E, or data collection (e.g., ODK, KoboToolbox).
- Knowledge of local socio-economic contexts in project provinces.
For Arabic-Speaking Experts (Pool 2):
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields (as above).
- Native proficiency in Arabic; basic English/Turkish for coordination.
- Experience in humanitarian/development data collection.
- Familiarity with refugee/host community dynamics in Türkiye.
General Requirements:
- Willingness to travel extensively within project areas.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders (women, youth, persons with disabilities).
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
