La Coordinadora Latinoamericana y del Caribe de Pequeños(as) Productores(as) y Trabajadores(as) de Comercio Justo (CLAC), es una Asociación constituida con personería jurídica en El Salvador, que agrupa a las Organizaciones de Pequeños(as) Productores(as) (OPP’s) y Organizaciones de Trabajadores(as) dentro del Comercio Justo. La CLAC está organizada en “Coordinadoras Nacionales” y “Redes”; las primeras agrupan a las organizaciones miembros de CLAC por país, mientras que las Redes de Producto, agrupan a las organizaciones por producto independientemente del país en el que se encuentren y la Red de Trabajadores(as), agrupa a las organizaciones de trabajadores(as) de los diferentes países.
La misión de CLAC es no solamente representar a las organizaciones democráticamente organizadas, sino también velar por su fortalecimiento y desarrollo, asimismo facilitar asistencia a sus asociados, promocionar sus productos y valores, e incidir en instancias sociales, políticas y económicas. Las líneas estratégicas de trabajo de CLAC son: 1) Fortalecer la sostenibilidad organizacional de CLAC, 2) Promover el comercio justo, sus principios y valores, 3) Fortalecimiento y desarrollo de nuestra membresía, 4) Incrementar acceso a mercados existentes y nuevos, 5) Incidir por una producción, comercio y consumo responsable para impulsar un desarrollo sostenible, 6) Contribuir a los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) a través de la inclusión, la adopción de buenas prácticas sociales y ambientales en nuestra membresía.
- Acerca del Programa de Banano Sostenible (PBS).
Es en el marco del Programa de Banano Sostenible (PBS), específicamente en los Pilares: 1) Gestión sostenible de los recursos Suelo y Agua; 2) Resiliencia ante el Cambio Climático; y 3) Recuperación y Fomento de la Biodiversidad; se implementa el Proyecto de Incremento de la Productividad (PIP), cuyo objetivo principal es apoyar a las OPPs en el desarrollo e implementación de prácticas sostenibles de producción de Banano certificado Fairtrade, para ello fortaleciendo capacidades de los(as) pequeños(as) productores(as) de banano en diferentes países, principalmente en: a) Prácticas para la mejora de la Salud de Suelos a través de la producción de bio insumos que contribuyen al incremento la biodiversidad de Microorganismos Benéficos en los suelos; b) Acciones y practicas para la gestión hídrica de cara al uso eficiente de agua de uso en la cadena de valor de banano; c) Fortalecimiento en conocimiento y habilidades para manejo manejar información y desarrollar acciones para disminuir la huellas hídrica y de carbono, entre otras. Todas las acciones antes descritas tienen como finalidad que los(as) productores(as) y sus familias mejoren sus condiciones de vida, como consecuencia de la reducción de costos, incremento de la productividad en campo y generación de mayores ingresos.
Este proceso se desarrollará con organizaciones de pequeño(as) productores(as) de banano certificado Fairtrade en las regiones Bananeras de República Dominicana, con la participación de organizaciones de las cadenas de suministro.
Con propósito de contribuir técnicamente al logro de los objetivos de este proceso de asistencia, se requiere la contratación de un profesional con habilidades técnicas en el manejo sostenible de Banano y con una visión de compromiso con el Comercio Justo y que asuma la posición de Técnico en Manejo Sostenible de Banano Fairtrade.
- Objetivo del puesto
Gestionar de manera eficiente y eficaz los componentes técnicos y operativos del proceso de asistencia en la producción de Banano Fairtrade con OPPs de en República Dominicana.
Propósito y Funciones Principales del puesto
Propósito
Contribuir al empoderamiento y autogestión de la membresía
Función Principal
Gestionar los componentes técnicos y presupuestarios del proyecto PIP de manera eficiente
Funciones colaterales de coordinación
Desarrollar e implementar el acompañamiento técnico a las Cooperativas que participan en el proyecto, de acuerdo con la metodología de trabajo impulsada por CLAC.
Identificar las actividades necesarias para el éxito del acompañamiento técnico, para ello la elaboración y administración de un cronograma lógico para su implementación.
Planificar y gestionar el presupuesto, así como la gestión de los gastos del proyecto, asegurando el correcto uso de los fondos del proyecto.
Asegurar la calidad del acompañamiento técnico dentro del proyecto, acorde a los elementos establecidos por CLAC en la propuesta de proyecto. (Salud de suelos, gestión hídrica, producción y uso de bioinsumos, gestión de huellas hídricas y carbono, biodiversidad, entre otros).
Realización de las visitas de seguimiento técnico necesarias y monitoreo en las diferentes zonas del proyecto, además la identificación oportuna de factores de riesgo en la ejecución.
Documentar las intervenciones, metodologías de trabajo, resultados y aprendizajes y reportarlos oportunamente (según plan) a la Unidad de Producción Sostenible.
Desarrollar y mantener una comunicación fluida con las OPPs participantes en el proyecto y con los colegas de trabajo de CLAC vinculados al proyecto para asegurar una buena coordinación de las agendas de trabajo.
