DESCRIPTION
According to information from the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of provinces and cities of Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, Quang Ninh, Hanoi, on the afternoon of May 12 to the morning of May 13, heavy rain accompanied Thunderstorms, tornadoes, and strong winds have caused the following damage:
– Regarding people: 03 people died due to a wall falling on them (children Le Thu Trang, born in 2021; Le Khanh Ngan, born in 2021; Tran Thi Anh Duong, born in 2019, residing in Ba Vi district, Ha Noi).
– Return home: 532 houses were damaged and had their roofs blown off (Lao Cai 119; Yen Bai 93; Thai Nguyen 230; Phu Tho 19; Quang Ninh 71).
– Regarding agriculture: 271.8 hectares of rice and crops were damaged (Lao Cai 49.35; Yen Bai 143.55; Thai Nguyen 78.9); 797.72 hectares of rice and crops were collapsed and flooded in Phu Tho.
– Regarding forestry: 220.82 hectares of forest were damaged (Lao Cai 03; Thai Nguyen 217.82).
– Regarding livestock: 93 cattle (Thai Nguyen 90; Lao Cai 03) and 300 poultry (Thai Nguyen) died.
– Regarding schools: 07 schools were damaged (Lao Cai 04; Thai Nguyen 02; Phu Tho 01).
– Regarding irrigation: 238m of canals collapsed (Lao Cai 38; Phu Tho 200).
– Regarding traffic: 635m3 of soil and rock collapsed (Lao Cai 05; Phu Tho 630); 187m of roads were damaged (Lao Cai 25; Thai Nguyen 162).
Immediately after the natural disaster occurred, local authorities organized visits and encouragement for families of victims; Mobilize on-site forces to support people in overcoming the consequences, quickly stabilize their lives and continue to organize reviews and statistics of damages.
