Institutional Fundraising Advisor

Job Location: Prague or your home location with occasional trips to PIN’s Country Programmes

Type of contract: Full time (40 hours/week)

Duration: 1 year with the possibility of extension

Starting date: as soon as possible

This role is for a motivated and goal-oriented professional with proven experience in institutional fundraising and project development. You will be offered a unique exposure to over 20 PIN offices and together with the team strive for improved institutional fundraising of PIN. The Institutional Fundraising Unit is part of the Knowledge and Learning Department, a dynamic team of technical, MEAL and program development advisors.

Main responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the preparation of proposals and programme design
  • Support pre-positioning towards identified donors in line with the Country Programme Strategies
  • Lead and/or support partner negotiations including teaming and pre-bid agreements
  • Ensure proposed actions are in compliance with the donor’s requirements and strategic priorities, as well as the priorities of PIN
  • Coordinate required technical inputs with other PIN Units (especially Knowledge & Learning)
  • Capacity building of HQ and country-based staff

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in developing and managing complex proposals
  • Proven track record in securing highly competitive bids (incl. DG INTPA, ECHO, USAID, FCDO, SDC, GAC, UN agencies etc)
  • Experience in the NGO sector or donors’ agencies
  • Proven knowledge of various donors strategies
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English, other languages are an advantage (French, Portuguese, Arabic etc.)
  • Ability to perform under time pressure, be flexible , work independently, manage multiple tasks and work effectively in fast-paced and multi-cultural environments
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, coaching, and mentoring skills
  • Excellent communication, writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with an eye for proposal messaging, themes, proposal aesthetics, and content
  • Have the ability to both coordinate different teams and participate in different team environments
