Digital Marketing Officer

CONTEXT

The Brasília Regional Delegation works with six operational priorities in the Region: the humanitarian impacts of armed violence in general and access to essential public services in particular, missing persons and their families, migration, detention, cooperation with the Movement and the promotion of international humanitarian law and human rights, when applicable.

The Division of Resource Mobilization (REM) works to position the ICRC as the “partner of choice” for donors and to generate a flow of high-quality, flexible, diversified, and sustainable income that protects the independence of ICRC’s humanitarian action and its unique position as a guardian of international humanitarian law.

PURPOSE

The Digital Marketing Officer will be responsible for managing and optimizing ICRC’s digital marketing initiatives across paid social media, display, affiliate, and SEM channels to increase the number of new donations.

This position will report to the Private Partnerships & Philanthropy Manager, interacting internally with the fundraising teams in Geneva and Buenos Aires, as well as the administrative support, communication, and logistics teams. Externally, it will interact with service providers, the private sector, and National Societies.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

– College degree or commensurate work experience;

– Minimum experience of 3 years in digital marketing focused on performance

– Experience with Google Analytics, AdWords, Facebook Business Manager and display platforms;

– Experience in managing large budgets;

– Ability to analyze and interpret data properly;

– Intermediate knowledge of Excel;

– Aptitude for planning, budgeting, and time management;

– Intermediate level of oral and written English;

– Outstanding communication skills (social, email and phone) and ease in working across hierarchies and departments and with external providers;

– Enthusiasm to work collaboratively in a team and across departments at all levels of the organization in Brazil and abroad;

– Solution-oriented (problem solver);

– Ability to prioritize time and manage multiple projects;

– Commitment to embrace our core values of building trust, accountability, communication, compassion, integrity, leadership and resiliency;

– Experience editing HTML is a plus;

– Experience with inbound marketing is a plus;

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

– Financial controls of media purchases;

– Develop and implement strategies for digital channels;

– Monitor results of digital marketing activities and produce performance reports;

– Launch, manage and optimize social media campaigns, Google AdWords, e-mail and other digital channels in collaboration with digital performance agencies;

– Work on new ideas to reduce costs and increase the ROI;

– Identify opportunities by analyzing data;

– Explore and layer in new channels by testing and determining success metrics;

– Work alongside in-house and external creative teams to develop and test new ad variations;

– Work on landing pages and site optimization;

– Schedule the sending of email campaigns;

– Use of media research software to gather audience, profile, demographic, and other information.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Start date: 08/2023;

40 hours per week;

Indefinite-term contract;
