We are currently seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to join our Business Accounting team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role

As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you will support the Head of Finance by supervising, co-ordinating and developing our team, providing insight and budgetary control support to internal groups.

Enabling the delivery of a high-quality project accounting service, you will ensure that our reports are accessible, provide advice, and identify gaps in information. Using your own specialist knowledge, you will ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of information, as well as monitoring and maintaining financial reports and carrying out detailed analyses.

You will line manage the Business Accounting team, coaching and mentoring peers and colleagues, supporting staff development and managing the workflow.

Additionally, you will:

– Ensure we have the correct resources
– Take responsibility for budgets, financial management, accounting and reporting
– Review and report on compliance and risk issues
– Provide appropriate support
– Maintain good working relationships with external stakeholders

About You

To be considered as a Senior Finance Business Partner, you will need:

– To be qualified with a recognised professional body such as CIMA, ACCA or ACA
– Substantial experience of financial management, budgeting and reporting
– Substantial experience of developing high performing teams, managing collective and individual continuous improvement
– Strong financial analysis experience with expertise in financial business processes and policies and the ability to influence senior managers
– A strong understanding of value for money and developing proposals with co-funding requirements
– Experience in accounting within a grant-receiving organisation
– Experience in the development of financial processes, systems and planning processes to improve efficiency
– Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements
– A high level of expertise in information technology

Interviews are scheduled to take place on week commencing 14th August 2023.
