Here’s where you come in:

As Deputy Chief of Party, Governance Sector, Peru, you will support the Chief of Party (CoP) in providing technical and administrative capacity building and leadership in the implementation of project activities. You will contribute to the timely submission of all required deliverables and reports and dedicates his/her efforts to ensuring that the project is implemented according to the technical stipulations in this statement of work and in conformity with the agreed-upon, finalized work plan. This position is contingent upon the project receiving funding. The estimated budget is between US$10 – 24 million and will be for 5 years.

Requirements include:

• Master’s degree preferred in international development, public administration, public policy, or a related field of study, or equivalent field experience in this sector, especially local governance, peacebuilding, or other relevant programming.
• Fluency in English and Spanish
• Familiarity with USAID programs, their history and their development; mastery of USAID regulations governing such programs.
• A minimum of eight years of experience in team leadership role and five years of experience as deputy chief of party or project manager on a project of similar size and scope (USAID experience preferred).
• Minimum of seven years working in Peru or contexts similar to Peru, incorporating elements of local governance, peacebuilding, or other relevant programming.
• The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically up to 25 % of the time.
