Job Title: Grants & Development Coordinator
Job location: Remote, preferably based in MENA or US East Coast time zone
Reports to: Grants Manager
JOB SUMMARY
The Grants and Development Coordinator is a key member of MedGlobal’s Grants team. This role involves supporting the full lifecycle of proposal development and reporting processes, following up on donor relationships, and supporting compliance and coordination across HQ and field teams. Additionally, the Grants and Development Coordinator will support in expanding MedGlobal’s foundation and corporate relationships. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with strong grant writing and donor engagement skills.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- In partnership with the Grants Managers, participate and manage the foundations and corporate donor engagement strategy plan focused on retaining, expanding, and enhancing foundation and corporate giving.
- Proactively research and assess new foundation and corporate funding opportunities that align with MedGlobal’s mission, programmatic priorities, and country needs.
- Initiate and writes grant proposals and pitches that are aligned with MedGlobals financial needs and gaps.
- Maintain the donor engagement tracker and informs and supports the primary relationship holder of each donor of engagement opportunities and management.
- Serve as the proposal manager, planning for and overseeing all the activities and inputs associated with the proposal development and production following MedGlobals New Business Development SOP’s.
- Maintain and ensure reports to funders are submitted on time and of a high quality.
- Generate and maintain accurate and current e-file copies of foundations and corporate donors’ prospects including copies of correspondence, proposals, reports and notes on significant conversations or donor visits.
- Maintain and update organizational profiles and registrations on key donor portals.
- Keep the Grants Management System up to date with all grant activity, including submitted, awarded, active, and closed grants.
- Participate in monthly program and design meetings, go/no-go discussions, and other coordination forums to align grant activities with operational priorities.
- Draft and coordinate the development of MOUs and cooperation agreements with partners, outlining roles, responsibilities, and expectations to support strategic collaborations.

- % donor reports submitted on time
- Number of donors in portfolio and % change year-over-year
- Number of training or engagement sessions held with field teams
- Frequency and quality of coordination meetings and reporting
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; Master’s degree a plus.
- 2–4 years of experience in grant writing, fundraising, or business development, preferably within a humanitarian or international development context.
- Strong research, writing, and editing skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with donors and partners.
- Familiarity with online donor portals and grant submission systems.
- Experience coordinating across diverse teams and cultural contexts and able to work efficiently in a remote setting.
- Self-motivated and proactive with strong attention to detail.
- Experience using grant management systems is an asset.
- Fluency in English required; additional languages, such as Arabic and Spanish, are a plus.
