The project aims to promote child health and well-being through impactful storytelling and behavior change communication. As part of this initiative, the Script Writer will be responsible for developing clear, engaging, and culturally relevant scripts in English and Russian that translate technical health content into accessible messaging for diverse audiences, including refugee families.
Responsibilities:
- Write scripts for video, audio, and other multimedia formats focused on child health, protection, and development
- Adapt complex health information into language that is accurate, engaging, and easily understood
- Develop messaging for advocacy campaigns on issues such as violence against children and climate resilience
- Ensure content is aligned with the cultural and linguistic context of target communities
- Collaborate with technical experts to maintain message integrity and factual accuracy
Education/Training:
Bachelor’s degree in communication, media, public health, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
Language:
Fluency in both English and Russian (spoken and written)
Professional experience:
- Minimum 5 years of script writing experience, preferably in health or development sectors
- Proven track record of creating compelling content for diverse and vulnerable audiences
- Experience simplifying technical or scientific information for non-specialist audiences
- Prior experience in donor-funded or development projects is an advantage
Preferred Criteria:
- Familiarity with child health, humanitarian communication, or climate advocacy
- Experience working with NGOs, international organizations, or similar projects
