Time Commitment & Stipend Amount
This position is 37.5 hours per week from January 5 – May 27, 2022, with a stipend of USD $1,500 per month. Contract renewal will be discussed in late April or early May and is contingent upon meeting periodic fundraising goals (to be determined).

Location Flexibility
The selected candidate will work fully remotely. (All Paper Airplanes staff work remotely since we do not have a physical office.) Responsibilities
The Director of Fundraising works closely alongside the Managing Director and Director of Communications, leading prospect research for potential individual and corporate donors, funding partners, and grant opportunities. The Director builds mutually beneficial relationships with these prospects to generate revenue streams in order to sustain Paper Airplanes’s long-term growth, as well as design campaigns to drive recurring individual donations. The selected candidate will have a high level of autonomy and is expected to take initiative in creating and executing the organization’s overall fundraising strategy.

In addition to the above requirements, the Director of Fundraising should ideally understand the donor landscape for online education programming, specifically within the MENA context, and have an existing network in the MENA region. They should also have a track record of securing various types of donations (grants, individual, corporate, etc.). Paper Airplanes proudly employs a multi-national, multi-lingual team, and we do not discriminate based on nationality, race, gender, age, religion, or political or other personal beliefs.
