About the Project
MAGENTA is bidding to implement a behavioural communication campaign to address air quality and waste management challenges in Greater Cairo. The project seeks to influence positive environmental behaviours by designing and disseminating compelling, locally relevant content across digital, traditional, and community-based channels. The campaign will raise awareness around the health and environmental impacts of vehicle emissions, household and healthcare waste, and promote the adoption of protective and sustainable practices among residents. The project activities include the rollout of two flagship campaigns on air quality and solid waste management, as well as the development of three strategic sub-campaigns. Content and engagement strategies will be rooted in behavioural science and tailored to different target audiences, leveraging partnerships with local influencers, schools, transport authorities, and the private sector.
