“Hurras” is a Non-governmental Organization specializing Network in childcare and child protection working to prevent all forms of violence, abuse, and exploitation cases that children may encounter in all environments by acting against and eliminating these cases through several activities such as education, rights Advocacy, protection, training, and psychological support.

Purpose of the position:

Responsible for Administer and coordinating all financial Procedures and processes of Hurras Network including general ledgers, internal accounts, accounts payable and accounts receivable, payroll stipends, statutory remittances, insurance, budget monitoring, and other financial systems and processes as required

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Follow-up entering financial transactions and operations in the organization’s financial system.
  2. Ensure achieving and maintaining the financial documents and coordinate with the concerned departments to guarantee all the documents are available and reviewed by the finance department.
  3. Auditing the financial documentation of the projects and ensuring their compliance with the policies of Hurras Network and the donors.
  4. Periodic follow-up with the accountants of the field offices and HQ officer and ensuring that the documents are received and archived and the relevant financial reports are regularly.
  5. Manage the preparation of financial reports for projects and ensure compliance with the policies of Hurras Network and the donors.
  6. Represent Hurras Network as a focal point of the finance department and attend meetings as needed, communicate with donors and partners regarding financial reports and project payments, and follow up on their feedback on the financial reports.
  7. Preparing the monthly and annual reconciliation of the financial reports.
  8. Support preparing the necessary documents during the internal review or audit process by donors or the financial audit by the Turkish government.
  9. Prepare documents and reports for the periodic financial audit.
  10. Carrying the best practices and best decisions regarding the financial procedures of Hurras Network.
  11. Responsible for following up and supporting preparing the reports required by the chartered accountant monthly or on a need basis and compiling and auditing the relevant financial documents.
  12. Ensure preparation of documentation of banking operations and the bank’s monthly report.
  13. Work collaboratively with all departments of the HQ Office in Turkey and support to ensure the financial compliance of all the procedures of programs and projects.
  14. Coordinate with (HR, logistics and procurement, and Program) departments, and provide support in preparing and approving documents for auditing and review by donors and ensure that they are accurate, reliable, transparent, correct, and in compliance with the policies and procedures of Hurras Network.
  15. Review and analyze incoming grants from donors, and develop systems and processes to ensure financial compliance with and consistent application of donor rules and regulations.
  16. Perform financial reviews of new projects, and ensure the correct adaptation of standard operating procedures, provision of correct templates, procedures, and guidance/advice to the finance team.
  17. Monitor, research, and respond to donor and statutory requirements as they relate to contractual compliance, risk management, and data transparency.
  18. Monitor recording all cash disbursements, and expenditures, and ensure timely, effective, and accurate record keeping.
  19. Leading the documentation process and ensuring all financial records and documents are available and archived and all financial data are uploaded to QuickBooks.
  20. Support reducing the risks of fraud, corruption, and bribery by increasing awareness and training to adhere to the procedures of the Network finance policies.
  21. Perform related tasks and prepare any other reports the direct supervisor may request.

Required Work Experience and Qualifications:

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economy, or any other related field.
  • 5 years at least of relevant work experience in a related field.
  • Previous experience working for NGOs is preferred.

Required Skills :

  • Excellent English and Arabic communication skills (oral and written).
  • Elementary Level in Turkish.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • High level of computer literacy (MS Office Word, Excel..etc) and financial systems (EX: QuickBooks)
  • Strong communication, organizing, and coordination skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good critical thinking skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to Collaboration and Good relationship-building skills.
