The NGO was founded by professional humanitarian workers engaged in the Syria response (North NW Syria . We come from the communities affected by the conflict. We have set up this organization in order to support fellow Syrians with relief and non-relief assistance to maintain their under-pressured resilience and help them cope with the challenging conflict environment. In our work we focus on the most vulnerable including persons with special needs, children and women. Partnership officer

The Partnership officer will responsible for communicating with the donor and coordinating for the smooth running of projects in addition to attending meetings with donors and maintaining partnerships
Assistance and support in preparing reports that comply with donor requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Ensure that monthly budget vs actual report produced with analysis in a timely manner and ensure Budget holders are actively providing feedback on the report.
  2. Ensure full compliance with MHD operating standards for grant management and working with implementing partners, including recommending remedial action and implementing action plans where standards are not currently met.
  3. Ensure the grant management systems budget and phased budget regularly updated.
  4. Ensure systems that are in place to monitor grants on monthly basis are working effectively and liaise closely with the field finance officers and budget holders to support the analysis of variance.
  5. Ensure donor report are prepared accurately and in line with donor reporting requirement in a timely manner.
  6. Review and ensure that monthly sub office report for completeness accuracy and input the system.
  7. Review Partner files and make recommendations.
  8. Attend or ensure appropriate coverage for relevant meetings.
  9. Work collaboratively with program and finance team members to represent balanced perspective on sectoral funding allocations.
  10. Keep informed of organizational announcements, activities, and changes via regular reading of the MHD Intranet and other corporate communication tools.
  11. Commitment to the human resources, protection, and safeguarding policies

Audit/Compliance/Capacity Building:

  • Address government and MHD audits in partnership with national/program offices, providing required information to auditors and participating in the defense of disallowed costs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration – Finance or related degree
  2. In addition to education or education equivalent, requires a minimum of two years’ work experience in finance and/or grants management experience.
  3. Previous work experience with a Humanitarian works
  4. Fluent in English to write reports.
  5. High ability in organization and professional communication skills with the donor
  6. Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and strong keyboarding skills and internet usage skills; database
  7. Understanding of the political and cultural context in Syria.
  8. Demonstrated written and oral English communication skills, Arabic is essential..

Personality:

  • A strong believer in human rights and values of freedom and justice.
  • Experience in working with Syrian activists’ groups.
  • Proactive with good communication skills.
  • Ability to work within team and under pressure.
  • Good time management skills, ability to multi-task and set priorities
  • Adherence to MHD Code of Conduct and internationally accepted humanitarian principles ( safeguarding)
