General Description of Orange:

Orange is a non-governmental civil society organization devoted to alleviating suffering and improving the sustainability mechanisms of the conflict-affected population.

Since its establishment in 2016, Orange partners directly with affected Syrian populations delivering programmes spanning sectors, including humanitarian and development programmes, in the Early Recovery, Food Security, Agriculture, Livelihoods, Education, and Protection, in addition to long-term impact interventions focusing on the economic empowerment and the local value chains improvements to enable targeted communities to improve their living practices and their sustainable mechanisms.

Orange collaborates with a variety of national and international non-governmental organizations, as well as local initiatives, to adopt a community-based approach that leads to improving the response’s impact to the humanitarian crisis, and provides sustainable and alternative solutions.

About the project:

The value voucher assistance program is an emergency intervention that is designed to respond to the emergency and basic needs of people who have been affected by the devastating earthquake in southeastern Turkey. The program utilizes the local markets infrastructures to distribute redeemable evouchers that addresses the immediate and most basic needs of earthquake affected families in terms of food and basic NFIs.

Job Purpose:

The project officer, working under the supervision of the project program coordinator, is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the project field activities and ensuring the project activity plan is being carried out correctly, in addition to the communication of any challenges and issues to the program coordinator.

Duties, Objectives and Competencies:

  • Work in coordination with program coordinator, project assistants, and supporting departments to facilitate smooth implementation of project activities
  • Addressing issues and field problems with the beneficiaries and vendors and reporting them.
  • Take the lead on beneficiary lists acquisition and verification in collaboration with MEAL team.
  • Conduct distribution activities and troubleshoot problems and technical issues that arises during distribution.
  • Follow up redemption process and follow up any technical issues that arise during redemption.
  • Maintain clear records of distribution, verification and redemption activities.
  • Carrying out any tasks requested by the line supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Two years of similar work experience, NGOs preferred.
  • A diploma or university degree in a relevant field is desired.
  • Effective communication and coordination.
  • Proven knowledge in MS Office programs, online training platforms, and basic data analysis.
  • Good knowledge of the Syrian and Turkish context.
  • English and Arabic are required, Turkish is a strong asset
