Education Development Trust is an education charity that exists to transform lives by improving education around the world. We work collaboratively with national and local governments, schools and other partners to design and deliver sustainable solutions to improve education.
We are currently growing our range of programmes in the Middle East region, building on the success of our education reform projects in the UAE, KSA, Jordan and Lebanon. We are looking for an inspirational Regional Delivery Director to oversee delivery and operational management for this regional portfolio of new and existing programmes.
Our ideal candidate will be a senior leader with strong strategic management experience in the Middle East and a track record of managing and delivering complex, medium scale education projects/programmes for government and/or donor clients. You should have in-depth knowledge of project management process and a strong knowledge of education systems, especially in the Middle East. You will have experience of developing excellent relations with government clients and donor organisations and a track record of leading change within delivery teams, for example bringing through new systems and working practices within an organisational framework.
This role will be based in Dubai, where a regular presence is required. There will be the requirement to travel internationally and you should be fluent in written and spoken Arabic and English.
- Reporting to the Director – Africa, Middle East and Asia (AMEA), you will have specific responsibility to oversee effective project operational and financial governance, ensuring work is carried out effectively, efficiently and that contract obligations are fully met.
- Working collaboratively with teams in the region and corporately, you will implement best practice programme and project management methodology as part of a Delivery Excellence approach, ensuring strong systems and processes are embedded across the portfolio of contracts.
- You will also support new business and strategy development processes to contribute to growth and development across the region by managing critical client relationships, supporting bid development, and representing the company at external events.
