Supply Chain Field Officer

General Description of the Organization:

Ghiras Al-Nahda is a Nonprofit Non-governmental humanitarian organization working to empower people through fulfilling their basic needs and seeking to improve community stability and resilience.

Job purpose:

The supply chain field officer is responsible for supporting the supply chain team and working closely with the finance, and programs team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for implementing and following up purchase operations (collecting of quotations, following up the technical and financial committees work, following up on the implementation of purchase orders and contracts… etc.).
  • Follow up on the transferring and receiving of all Goods/Services on timely delivery and check their specifications.
  • Follow up on the movement of vehicles and drivers.
  • Manage the asset table (Registration, Handover, disposal, inventory), and maintenance requests.
  • Coordinating with the warehouse keeper for receipt and release of the goods.
  • Checking all purchase operations documents before sending them to the HQ office.
  • Submitting reports to the supply chain Coordinator at the headquarters.

Experience and qualifications:

  • University Degree in Business Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, or any other related field.
  • At least three years of professional experience in the supply chain.
  • Very good written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work in a demanding self-supervisory, multi-task environment within clear timelines.
  • Proficiency in working on Microsoft programs.
  • Strong interpersonal, and cooperative working skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality.
  • High attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
