Present in some twenty countries, the SI teams – 2500 people in total, made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at HQ, and a few volunteers – intervene with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultural norms.
About the mission
SI has been working in Syria since 2012, and is today operating in North East Syria (NES) and North West Syria (NWS)
The NES programs provide an integrated assistance in the WASH, NFI, Shelter, FSL sectors to displaced populations and host communities affected by the conflict.
The NWS programs provide WASH and NFI/Winterization support to affected populations.
In NES and NWS, the lifesaving activities are:
- Wash – emergency package in IDPs settlements,
- Distribution of NFIs and cash for vulnerable populations,
And in NES, SI is implementing more sustainable activities:

1- Objective:
Context: Over the years SI Syria mission has been working towards capacity building for all SI employees. Professional coaching is a means of personal development, usually targeted on soft skills rather than technical skills. Coaching objectives are centered around self-led learning where the coach provides guidance but does not give specific direction/actions. The mission is interested to establish a pool of professional coaches that can understand SI organizational culture and challenges and be able to offer these services as requested to SI colleagues. The formal agreement will be through a framework agreement that fixes a unit price per session and is valid for one year.
According to the individual requests the objectives of the coaching may be related to:
– Self-assessment and reflection of leadership and or management practices
– Improve communication, collaboration and conflict resolution
– To improve ability to plan and or make decisions
SI may also be interested in the opportunity of team coaching in the aim to identify internal blockages, ease communication and mutual understanding, and overall improve team spirit.

1) Online individual Coaching by session
