We are looking for a Cooking Trainer & Employability Coordinator to join our dedicated and passionate team.
In this role you would oversee, coordinate and implement learning, training and employability programmes.
This includes teaching and running our Cooking Training Programme, teaching students the theoretical and practical essentials of cooking to develop the skills and confidence to access the culinary industry.
In addition, you would support students with exam preparation and coordinate employability support, in collaboration with partner organisations. Alongside this, you would work closely with the Programmes Manager to develop, expand and improve education and employability programmes.
Location: Attiki/Sepolia, Athens
Position: Part-time/ 32 hours per week (Tuesday – Friday)
Salary: 960 EUR p/m (Gross)

Who are Project Armonia?
We are a non-profit organisation based in Athens, our mission is to promote and support equal access to nutrition and to education.
We act in solidarity with people who have limited or no access to food. In our professional and licensed kitchen (License No. 1263267) we cook tasty, and nutritious meals for displaced and homeless fellow-citizens of Athens.
To promote equal access to education, we also run free Cooking Training Programmes certified by ACTA- a Spin off of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (License No. 1169), for those that cannot afford educational fees in the Culinary Industry.
Job Description
- Implementation and coordination of Armonia’s Cooking Training Programmes.
- Teaching practical and theoretical cooking skills.
- Developing teaching materials, such as presentations, worksheets, study material.
- Ordering of food, non-food items and equipment needed for teaching.
- Monitoring and evaluating lesson plans and content in accordance with the teaching syllabus.
- Monitoring and checking in with students regarding their learning, goals and personal development.
- Coordination of examination schedules and student preparation for examinations.
- Maintenance of student admin records (certification, attendance, personal information).
- Onboarding of students to each cohort of the educational programme (reviewing applications, answering queries, interviews, inductions).
- Collaborating with partner organisations to refer graduated students for employability and job linking support.
- Developing educational and employability programmes in collaboration with the Programmes Manager.
- Developing local partnerships and collaborations for employability and job-linking.
Person Specification
Requirements
- At least two years as a Chef, or a Cook A.
- Certification of cooking skills and food safety training.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong team player with a flexible attitude and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Able to act on own initiative and take responsible decisions, and to work well both independently and within a team.
- Ability to work with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and cooking experience levels.
- Experience working with NGOs.
- Strong knowledge of Google drive, documents, and sheets.
- Fluency in Greek and English.
- Have the right to work in Greece.
Other information
- A fixed-term 6 months’ contract under Greek law.
- 960 EUR p/m (Gross).
- 20 days annual leave, in addition to public holidays.
- Work hours: Wednesday & Thursday (9:30 – 17:30 – flexible on agreement); Tuesdays & Fridays (12:00 – 20:00). 32 hours per week.
