Know our team
Nutrition International promotes an evidence-based approach to advocacy, decision making, multi-sectoral country planning, and the setting of nutrition agendas. The Global Technical Services (GTS) Unit is Nutrition International’s Centre of Technical Excellence. The GTS Unit, based in Ottawa, leads on the quality assurance of and technical support to Nutrition International’s research and programs to influence and improve national and global policies and practice. Currently, Nutrition International is seeking applications for a Director of Coordination, GTS to be based in Ottawa, Canada.
About you
You are someone with five or more years’ experience in public health and project management in low- and middle-income countries in Asia and Africa. You have a master’s degree or bachelor’s degree with strong technical and managerial competencies in relevant fields to public health, nutrition, agriculture, or international development. You have excellent team management skills and an ability to work through others and influence.
Fluency in English is required. French will be considered an asset.
About the role
In this role you will be:
- Driving portfolio and process management of prioritized initiatives from conception to completion
- Supporting prioritization of initiatives for action by GTS team
- Coordinating a pool of flexible staff resources for high priority GTS needs
- Managing the process of Technical Assistance requests from other units
- Producing reports and GTS products, when relevant to initiatives
