ENUMERATORS (2 POSITIONS), BASHIQA- NINEWA GOVERNORATE

ABOUT FOCSIV

FOCSIV is the Federation of Christian Organizations for International Voluntary Service, which currently includes 86 Associations present in over 80 countries around the world. The Federation offers its support in the implementation of development projects in the social-health, agricultural-food, educational-training, defense of human rights, protection of childhood and adolescence, gender equality and institutional strengthening sectors. FOCSIV has been present in Iraq since 2014, since then it has promoted initiatives in the emergency and development channel in different areas of the country. The Federation’s interventions aim to improve the living conditions of the most vulnerable categories and to strengthen the social stability of the less integrated populations.

FOCSIV strives to offer its contribution in reducing inequalities and discriminatory practices related to religion, gender, age, disability and economic status against the most vulnerable people, especially religious minorities, with a focus on Ninewa Governorate.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSABILITIES:

The Enumerators will be based in Bashiqa (Ninewa Governorate) and will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Conduct interviews and FDGs using appropriate tools as shared by the Education Officer (paper tools or KOBO and similar platform).
  • Ensure completeness and consistency of collected information.
  • Conduct any other data collection exercise in the field using different techniques including individual surveys, focus group discussions, key informant interviews as requested by the program department.
  • Review data collected after fieldwork before submitting to the Education Officer.
  • Submit clean and consolidated data collected in raw format.
  • Undertake regular field monitoring visits as requested by the Education Officer and write appropriate reports.
  • Support the Education Officer in checking the complaints boxes monthly and report any complaints collected.
  • Identify and provide an account of challenges faced in obtaining data during surveys and any other challenges encountered for onward development of tools and methodology.
  • Abide to FOCSIV Code of Conduct, Safeguarding and Data Protection Policies
  • Any other duties as required.

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • University degree in Sociology, Social Science or any other related field from an accredited academic university or institute.
  • Experience in data collection would be considered in lieu of University degrees.

Experience and Skills:

  • At least one year of experience in the humanitarian sector including data collection, reporting, and research.
  • Familiarity with the Iraqi education system and context.

Languages:

  • Fluency in English and Arabic is required.

DESIDERABLE

  • Knowledge of Protection Mainstreaming Methodology in FDGs, Safeguarding Standards and Data Protection Principles would be considered as asset
