Takaful Al Sham (TAS) has been responding to the Syrian crisis since 2012 and to the Refugee Response in Turkiye since 2013. TAS works in Education, Early Recovery, Food Security, Livelihood & Empowerment, WASH, Protection, Shelter, CCCM, and Emergency Response, where TAS has implemented successfully more than 130 projects in Direct partnership with Institutional donors, UN Agencies, and INGOs such as; BHA, SCHF, UNICEF, WFP, UNDP, IOM, CARE, GOAL, Save the Children, Global Communities, World Vision, DRC, WHH, Archenova, Chemonics. Role Purpose:

The Facilitator will conduct dynamic and engaging training sessions on Advocacy and Community Mobilization Skills, empowering participants to drive change and mobilize communities effectively. The role involves imparting knowledge on advocacy strategies, community engagement, and mobilization techniques to advocate for gender equality and women’s rights.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with program coordinators to design a comprehensive curriculum focusing on advocacy strategies and community mobilization.

• Develop session plans, materials, and activities aligned with program objectives and participant needs.

• Facilitate interactive training sessions on advocacy approaches, mobilization techniques, and effective strategies to drive social change.

• Provide insights into community dynamics and engagement strategies to advocate for gender equality and women’s rights.

• Help participants build essential advocacy skills such as stakeholder mapping, message development, lobbying, and effective communication.

• Offer guidance on designing and executing successful advocacy campaigns to address gender-based challenges and promote equality.

• Empower participants with knowledge on engaging and mobilizing communities, fostering collaboration and collective action.

• Guide participants in leveraging community resources and networks to advance advocacy goals and social causes.

• Address participants’ inquiries and concerns, promoting an open dialogue and active participation.

• Assess participants’ progress and understanding through continuous evaluation during the training program.

• Provide constructive feedback to individuals to aid in their skill development and ability to advocate effectively for gender equality and women’s rights.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience of at least two years in in delivering training on advocacy, community engagement, and mobilization.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social sciences, public policy, international development, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of advocacy strategies, community dynamics, and the principles of effective mobilization.

• Excellent presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
