Job Purpose:

The Human Resources (HR) officer, under the supervision of the HR Coordinator, will support the HR department in tasks including recruitment, screening, recruiting, interviews, and employee placement. He/she will on-board new employees and guide them through the complicated compliance process. Since HR represents both the employee and the organization, the Human Resources officer must be well-organized when performing administrative and strategic hiring duties. He/she also has the crucial task of ensuring Violet’s HR policies and procedures are in compliance with all Turkish labor regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in ensuring staff compliance with human resources policies, as per Violet’s Operations Handbook and HR Handbook are in compliance will all Turkish labor regulations.

Ensure that leave, recruitment, and training trackers are updated on a regular basis.

Monitor staff attendance and ensure that all staff timesheets are submitted and filed on time and prepare the monthly payroll.

Assist in communicating with interview candidates and scheduling for tests and interviews.

Prepare employee contracts and all documents, in addition to working in time sheets and payrolls.

Responsible for ensuring the following are accurate, complete, and up to date: personnel files as hard copy and electronic

Assist managers and staff with effective performance management and administer the collation of performance management documentation.

Ensure new staff receives appropriate orientation and induction.

Ensure clearance and debriefing are carried out for exiting staff.

Respect and apply all the PSEA and child protection principles, and show high commitment to report any PSEA & CP action.

Follow up on recruitment processes, recruitment plan and conduct interviews to ensure the recruitment of qualified candidates.

Following up the financial benefits of employees, preparing employee payrolls, and following up on compensation and rewards.

Follow up on the legal status of employees and their work permits, to ensure that all employees are legally registered with the Social Insurance.

Promote a positive workplace culture by developing and implementing initiatives that improve employee morale, motivation, and productivity.

Participate in preparing and implementing the training plan for employees, and follow up on conducting mandatory trainings for employees.

Note: the above mentioned key responsibilities / accountabilities are illustrative ones. Another future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department organizational chart.

Qualification (Education/Work Experience)

A. Essential:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or related field with a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in a similar role or HR administration or management.

Professional Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Power Bi, power point, Outlook).

Fluency in Arabic and Good level in English and Turkish

B. Desirable:

Advanced degree in relevant field.
More than Two years of experience in non-profit governance, HR administration or management.
