The Regional Office is responsible for the oversight of CARE’s operations in the region as well as the provision of support to country offices in the region.

Role Profile

As a leading development and humanitarian organization, CARE strives to develop a strong knowledge base on effective strategies and approaches, generate evidence of impact, and build strategic partnerships for humanitarian response, long-term development, scale-up, and global advocacy.

The Innovation team is looking for an energetic, dynamic intern eager to learn more about CARE and build capabilities around driving external innovations in CARE offices. The intern will work closely with the Innovation team over the next 3 months to support in project implementation. This will be done by supporting the Innovation Manager and Senior Project Officer in their day to day tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Coordination Support for Project Activities for CARE Scaling Network Projects

• Support in providing technical support to project country teams including managing weekly check ins and preparing monthly reports.
• Participate in virtual internal and external monitoring of projects through assisting in organizing and facilitating various events such as meetings, workshops, conferences, and seminars.

2. Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Capacity Development Support

 Contribute to design of training materials, communication materials, and knowledge products for the Innovation team.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

• University Degree (must have graduated not more than 2 years ago or is a current student) in a relevant field with basic knowledge of project management concepts and related tasks.
• Demonstrates an understanding of the vision, mission, and values of CARE.
• 0-1 years of professional working experience, preferably in an NGO context.
• Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Good interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.
• Establishes, builds, and maintains effective working relationships with colleagues to facilitate the provision of support.
• Basic understanding of the development and humanitarian context.

Desired:

• Project management experience.
