Here’s where you come in:

As the Sr. Technical Advisor for Infectious Diseases and Immunization, you deeply understand infectious disease prevention, detection and treatment, and immunization for children under five in developing countries. Your primary responsibility includes supporting programme development (including grants) in development and humanitarian settings, capacity building, thought leadership, and technical quality assurance for infectious disease and immunization programs. In addition, you will monitor and communicate significant funding opportunities for the sector and represent World Vision on global working groups and partner immunization events.

You will work to strengthen collaboration with both internal and external partners. This includes engaging stakeholders to develop and implement strategies aligning with World Vision’s mission and objectives. Overall, this role is critical in advancing World Vision’s goals to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable populations in developing countries.

Requirements include:

  • Master’s degree in public health, epidemiology or related field or medical doctor with public health experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in public health, infectious disease prevention, and immunization programs in developing countries
  • Experience in grants implementation in developing countries
  • Experience working in development context with INGOs or international donors
  • Language Requirements: English; additional languages – especially French and Spanish preferable
  • Work Environment/Travel: Work from home with a 30% travel

Compensation: For positions filled in the United States, the typical salary range for this role is $81,368 to $101,710 USD Annually. Ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, job level, internal equity and budget. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience and geographic location.
