Vehicle Maintenance Assistant

Developing and implementing a comprehensive maintenance program for the fleet of vehicles and electric generators, including scheduling regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs;

Supervising a team of mechanics, technicians, and administrative staff involved in vehicle and electric generator maintenance. Assigning work tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring efficient workflow. In addition, conducting technical training for the workshop staff to enhance their technical skills and knowledge of new technologies and vehicle systems; while promoting a culture of safety among the workshop staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Conducting regular safety training, and addressing any safety concerns;

Overseeing diagnosis and troubleshooting of vehicle or electric generator issues and ensuring accurate identification of problems and timely repairs. In addition, ensuring that maintenance and repair work is conducted in a cost-effective manner without compromising quality and safety; inspects and tests vehicles before, during, and after repairs;

Maintaining accurate job card data and posting the required spare parts on the Agency fleet systems while ensuring all master tables are up to date;

Preparing technical reports on vehicle maintenance activities, including costs, downtime, and repairs and implementing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the overall fleet performance, and efficiency of the team while proposing recommendations for improvements in the workshop operation;

Managing the inventory of spare parts efficiently. Monitoring stock levels, placing orders and inspecting the spare parts received.

Ensuring the fleet meets all legal requirements and environmental guidelines.

Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
