About the Women Support Association:

The Women’s Support Organization is a humanitarian, development, non-governmental organization that was established in 2013 and was officially licensed in Turkey in 2015 and officially licensed in Syria in 2025 Under the name ISWA. All projects implemented by the organization inside Syria aim to build a better life for women and empower Syrian women so that they can face problems and challenges in a way that preserves for their dignity and respect.

Work overview:

Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the Finance Officer will complete finance and accounting tasks. In addition to maintaining all financial files in an organized manner, they will be responsible for implementing the organization’s financial systems and protocols and coordinating with finance officers and field teams on all financial activities and matters.

Key Responsibilities:

1- Assist the Support Coordinator with all daily accounting and financial management tasks in the main offices and project offices to ensure that all tasks are implemented in accordance with policies and procedures.

2- Contact and communicate with project accountants to ensure the appropriate completion of all financial transactions in real time

3- Ensure that all financial activity documents are maintained in an organized manner in accordance with the organization’s policies and requirements

4- Review bank and cash balances and prepare bank liquidation reconciliations in a timely manner.

5- Review all cash receipts, disbursement vouchers, employee advances and liquidations and ensure the availability of necessary supporting documents and allocate the appropriate cost.

6- Review invoices, contracts, and purchases before disbursing payments. While ensuring that foundation and donor regulations are followed, coordinating bill payment and cash disbursements at head office and with field staff.

7- Support the Human Resources Department in preparing payroll, ensuring the accuracy of monthly timesheets, contracts, and other supporting documents.

8- Organizing the daily archiving system and developing the necessary tracking tools to ensure appropriate follow-up.

9- Assisting in preparing the required inspection body schedules and documents.

10- Any other financial tasks requested by the supervisor.

Professional Qualifications:

  • 3 years of work experience in the humanitarian field minimum.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Academic qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Personal skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial recordkeeping.
  • Basic understanding of financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
  • High level of integrity and ethical standards.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken) is preferable.
