Salary: $1,700 -$1,900/month + seniority payments/bonus

Location: Phnom Penh

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7 hours a day plus ad hoc events as required

About ISF Cambodia:

ISF Cambodia (ISF) is a Cambodian based charity with over 17 years of experience using education and sport to change lives. Our aim is to make a fundamental and lasting change in the lives of some of the poorest and most disadvantaged children and their families in Cambodia.

Our Education Programme focuses on children in the slums of the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh, whose extreme poverty means they have never gone to school or have had to drop out. We provide them with a quality education and healthcare whilst working closely with their communities to lift entire families out of poverty. Through our grassroots Football Programme, we work directly with 4,000 youth, promoting equality and providing opportunities to those marginalised by poverty, disability, HIV and gender.

Position Overview:

ISF Cambodia is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fundraising Officer to join our team. As the Fundraising Officer, you will be responsible for managing donor relationships, implementing fundraising strategies, and supporting various fundraising activities. This role will play a crucial part in expanding our donor base and ensuring the sustainability of our programmes.

Accountability and Relationship:

  • Reports to ISF’s Development Manager;
  • The Fundraising Officer is part of the Development team. S/he will work closely and collaboratively with ISF’s Local Fundraising team and Communications team to implement overlapping projects. We are a small but passionate, friendly and close-knit team where staff are encouraged to execute creative and new ideas, working together to support each other’s efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Donor Management:

  • Working closely with the Development Manager, support with the development and implementation of fundraising strategies targeting individual and corporate donors
  • Build and maintain relationships with individual and corporate donors.
  • Identify and cultivate new donor prospects.

Proposal Development:

  • Prepare compelling proposals, grants, and presentations aimed at individual and corporate donors.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to gather necessary information and data for proposals.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of proposals and grants

Reporting:

  • Prepare comprehensive and engaging reports for individual and corporate donors, highlighting impact and outcomes, and building emotional connections with donors.
  • Ensure all reporting requirements are met in a timely manner.
  • Analyse donor reports to identify opportunities for improvement and increased donor engagement.

Fundraising Activities:

  • Support with planning, coordinating, and executing fundraising activities, campaigns, and events.
  • Explore and implement community fundraising initiatives and peer-to-peer fundraising opportunities.
  • Promote and manage memberships/regular giving programmes.
  • Utilise fundraising platforms, such as crowdfunding, to maximise fundraising efforts.
  • Stay updated on emerging fundraising trends and technologies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in donor management and fundraising
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills (native-level English speaker)
  • Successful track record in writing high-quality funding proposals, applications, presentations and reports
  • Flexible and dynamic, with the ability to adapt and respond quickly to a fast-changing environment and varied projects
  • Confident presentation and networking skills. Comfortable meeting new people and able to impress and motivate ISF’s current and potential donors and partners
  • Experience planning and organising fundraising events and campaigns
  • Ability to take simple, short videos and photos to keep our donors engaged and allow them to build an emotional connection with ISF would be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of fundraising best practices

Desirable

  • CRM (Salesforce) experience
  • Knowledge of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning
