YOUR JOB AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

In collaboration with the Country Director, you are responsible for all of the mission’s security, including the implementation and monitoring of security management tools and documents, the monitoring of the overall context of the country and the sub-region, the analysis of security and access incidents, the security validation of movements and field deployment operations in conjunction with the Field Coordinators, awareness-raising, training and briefing of Action Contre la Faim teams in terms of of security and safety.
You collect, analyze and transmit information on the political and security situation and the evolution of the context
– Collection and capitalization of information related to security and the evolution of the context
– Analysis of the information collected
– Communication of information and analyzes at the level of the mission
– Participation and representation of Action against Hunger in meetings relating to security with the various actors (NGOs, UN, state and non-state national & local actors )
You assess, monitor and manage the risks and incidents impacting the access of the teams to the beneficiaries
– Risk assessment on all the operational bases of the mission and regular updating
– Reduction of the identified risks and monitoring of the implementation of the defined risk reduction measures
– Analysis and monitoring of incidents having an impact on team access to intervention areas
– Support for the drafting of security incident reports
– Supervision and support of the Country Director in security incident management
You develop and implement security and access management tools
– Definition of security plans and security in coordination with the Field Coordinators and the Logistics Department Manager
– Definition of the access strategy for the mission
– Development and updating of the tools necessary for monitoring the context and security management
You train and raise awareness among the teams d’Action contre la Faim
– Training and sensitization of national and expatriate staff on security aspects
– Review and conduct of safety briefings and debriefings for all employees

YOUR PROFILE

– You have a higher degree in the field of logistics, security management, administration, law, project management and / or international relations
– You have 5 years of successful experience in a similar position with a strong field security component
– You have been required to operate within the state security apparatus or in peacekeeping missions
– You have excellent communication and training facilitation skills
– You are also very easy to meet new people and are able to build excellent relationships with various internal and external interlocutors
– You have a great sense of diplomacy and very good knowledge and skills in managing negotiations
– You are able to produce an analysis (security, prospective, etc.)
– You have a good command of spoken and written French
– You have good knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and satellite communication system
– You have great flexibility and integrity
– You are able to work in perfect autonomy
– You are organized and rigorous in the accomplishment of your tasks
– You like and are able to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team

YOUR CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Contractual conditions
12 months fixed-term contract under French law
Remuneration and benefits:
– Gross monthly starting salary of 2450 to 2800 EUR depending on experience
– Per diem and living expenses: 289EUR and 169EUR (see eurocost ) net, paid on the ground.
– + EUR 150 Context allowance
– + 16% of gross monthly salary for pension insurance reimbursement for non-French nationals.
– + Child allowance (1500EUR/per year per child capped at 6000EUR annually)
Transport and accommodation:
– Support for travel to and from the place of work.
– Single room in collective accommodation supported
Medical coverage:
– 100% of the coverage of health contributions (CFE + complementary health) and repatriation insurance
Leave and RnR:
– 25 days of paid leave per year.
– + 20 RTT per year.
– + 215 EUR paid for the recovery period (every 12 weeks)
– Support for transport tickets to the reference recovery area. (France)
