MicroMentor is an initiative of Mercy Corps’ Innovations Team. MicroMentor connects entrepreneurs and business mentors on an easy-to-use social platform that strives to overcome geographical limitations and deliver business resources at scale to under-resourced communities around the globe. General Position Summary

The Impact & Insights Coordinator will primarily provide Impact & Insights support, in the form of ongoing program analytics, regular insights, and impact evaluations, for the implementation of MicroMentor programs—with a particular focus on the Verizon SMB program. As a member of the Impact & Insights team, this position will also assist ongoing research projects and managing I&I systems, as well as support the MicroMentor team by responding to data requests.

MicroMentor Essential Job Responsibilities

Programs & Innovations

Provide a high-level of support for the Verizon SMB program, providing regular insights and monitoring of program progress, in addition to evaluating program impact and providing any as-needed support to implementation staff.
Join calls and meetings with Verizon (and other customers as needed) to communicate insights and support implementation staff as needed
Support the implementation of other ongoing MicroMentor programs through data insights and program evaluations.
Create and update dashboards for the monitoring of ongoing platforms
Support MicroMentor country teams with Monitoring & Evaluation needs

Impact and Insights

Support the MicroMentor team by responding to data requests in a timely and thorough manner
Review the use of data in MicroMentor documents, such as proposals, marketing documents, or evaluations, to ensure consistency and quality
Support logistics (scheduling, contacting participants, sourcing research grant leads, sourcing secondary research, etc.) for ongoing Impact & Insights projects, including research projects
Participate in MicroMentor research team meetings
Support the continued systemization of MicroMentor Impact & Insights methodology
Support the maintenance of MicroMentor Impact & Insights systems like Salesforce, Tableau, and FormAssembly

Accountability to Participants and Stakeholders

Mercy Corps team members are expected to support all efforts toward accountability, specifically to our program participants, community partners, other stakeholders, and to international standards guiding international relief and development work. Minimum Qualification & Transferable Skills

We will consider any combination of relevant work experience, volunteering, education, and transferable skills as qualifying unless an item or section is labeled required. BA/S or equivalent experience in data analytics, data science, mathematics, economics, psychology, or other relevant areas of study
1-2 years professional experience with data analytics, monitoring & evaluation, or business analytics
Strong computer skills in Google suite and MS Office programs (specifically MS365)
Experience with social science, the scientific method, and statistical methods
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to multi-task and maintain attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
Ability to learn new skills or systems quickly
Experience with SQL, Tableau, R programming language, and Salesforce preferred
Experience with market research and user-centered research techniques such as IDEO preferred

This position will be based in Portland, Or.

Mercy Corps team members represent the agency both during and outside work hours when deployed in a field posting or on a visit/TDY to a field posting.
