Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities
As part of CARE’s Business with CARE team you will have a dual role; to develop and lead PSE’s business engagement strategy for partnership growth and new partner acquisition through marketing and communication activity and will also be responsible for the Corporate Fundraising income channel. As a strong communicator, you will work closely with the business development team and the delivery team to develop engaging and sector leading content, content for external owned channels like LinkedIn and CARE International website, to ensure CARE is the go-to partner for businesses and industry organisations. You will be part of an exciting cross-organisational communications team to contribute and learn from other teams and departments.
Linked to the engagement strategy you will also be responsible for developing and growing the corporate fundraising channel of PSE. You will be expected to develop and implement corporate fundraising strategy that represents CARE and contributes to the Fundraising, Partnership and Communication strategy. You will manage the PSE database and outreach mechanisms and will be responsible for outreach compliance (GDPR). You will manage a Corporate Fundraiser and will be supported by a Business Development Officer.
Your role will contribute to CARE’s global programme goals, fundraising targets and advocacy work. Further, you will be working with a range of companies that want to create lasting impact and change for people living in poverty around the world.
Why work for us?
We have long recognised that the private sector plays a critical role in reducing poverty. People in the vulnerable communities where we work encounter markets and companies every day, as producers, workers, entrepreneurs, neighbours or consumers.
It therefore makes sense to work closely with the private sector in order to increase our chances of achieving mutual objectives.
The Business with CARE team brings CARE’s deep expertise and global and local reach to help partners achieve greater social and environmental impact, and to support overall progress toward the SDGs.
At CARE International UK we affirm the dignity, potential and contribution of participants, donors, partners and staff. Our actions are consistent with our mission. We are honest and transparent in what we do and say and accept responsibility for our collective and individual actions. We work together effectively to serve the larger community. We constantly challenge ourselves to the highest levels of learning and performance to achieve greater impact.
Are you passionate about social and climate justice?

We are looking for a strong communicator who can represent CARE’s values to the corporate sector, a quick relationship builder to generate impactful partnerships and someone who is passionate about creating change and raising the profile of the people CARE works with.
