WHAT DO WE DO …

Solidarités International has been working in the DRC since 2001 in the areas of food security and livelihoods, water, hygiene and sanitation, construction/rehabilitation of shelters and the distribution of essential household items. These projects meet the humanitarian needs of displaced and host populations in Tanganyika, Ituri and North Kivu.

Our programs cover emergency response, but also more sustainable activities and illustrate the strategy chosen by the mission, namely maintaining a strong emergency response capacity while developing sustainable solutions to the issues affecting the population. from the country.

The mission is composed of a coordination based in Goma, a representation office in Kinshasa, 2 bases (Grand Nord Kivu with a base in Beni) and in Ituri with a base in Bunia) and several operational sub-bases on the territory.

The program in Ituri consists mainly of emergency response projects (SAFER) in food, AME, EHA. The Province of Ituri has for several years been plagued by the activism of several armed groups. This activism, which can lead to clashes between these groups and the security forces, leads to recurrent population movements to which we are trying to respond. A development of the theme of agricultural recovery has been in place since the beginning of 2021 and tends to continue in the more stable regions of the area.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The FIN/HR manager supervises accounting operations, cash management and carries out budget monitoring in collaboration with the various budget managers, and in compliance with donor and Solidarités International procedures.

That implies :

Base size:

• HR: Base Ituri/Bunia: 69 staff including 4 international (Field Coordinator, Logistician, Admin, RP MEAL) and 65 national
• Financial volume: 4 projects already acquired = $5,400,000 (+ 2 potential new financings: $2,500,000)
• Management: The FIN/HR manager will be responsible for supervising 07 people

YOUR PROFILE

The desired profile:

• 2 years of experience in finance, administration and accounting.
• humanitarian experience,
• Multicultural Team Management,
• Knowledge of donor procedures,
• Knowledge of administrative, accounting, budgetary and human resources management.
• Very good organizational skills,
• Flexibility and adaptability according to support needs related to emergency interventions,
• Good relationship and diplomacy.

Language :

• Fluency in written and spoken French.
• English is a plus

Computer science :

• Excellent command of office software, in particular the Office Pack (Word, Excel, etc.).

IF YOU WILL OFFER THE FOLLOWING TERMS

Salaried position: Depending on experience, from 1800 euros gross per month, (+ 10% paid vacation bonus paid monthly, i.e. 1980 euros gross per month),

• Per Diem monthly $ 500.

SI also covers accommodation costs as well as travel costs between the country of origin of the expatriate and the place of mission.

Social Security :

The expatriate benefits from quality social security cover to cover all health costs and accident insurance including war risks.

Break: During the mission, alternation between work and rest is ensured by breaks planned every three months with an allowance of 850 USD.

Based on a one-year mission: breaks from 7 working days to 3, 6 and 9 months of mission (with a contribution of 850 USD paid by Solidarités). To these break times, we must add the granting of an additional day off per month worked, ie 12 days more for a one-year contract.
